Jonathan Hicks

Local history should be recalled and preserved for the future. If a community loses sight of its past, it loses its compass for the future.

My lifelong thirst for education, in particular history, literature and art, was nurtured by my late father. His passing when I was just 11 meant that the rest of my path through life, until I met my beautiful wife, Wendy, was cleared by my own hand, and that, to me, is the true spirit of the town of Barry– self-motivation and the forging of partnerships.
